SENIOR DEVELOPMENT PRODUCER (FACT ENT & ENTERTAINMENT)

Location: London

Start Date: March 2018

Contract: Initially 2 Months – Potential for a Lengthy Extension

A leading and rapidly growing television production company are looking for a Senior Development Producer to join the team.  The company predominantly focus on factual entertainment and entertainment, and they have made prime-time and well-known programmes for BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, ITV, ITV2, Channel 4, Sky One and TLC.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Senior Development Producer is responsible for creating original programmes and progressing these through to commission.  They will constantly be developing new ideas, mainly across but not limited to factual entertainment and entertainment, and will be looking after several projects at the same time.

They will play an active role in brainstorming, treatment writing, conducting thorough research and gaining access.  They will also develop and deliver pitches to the broadcasters.  Additionally, the Senior Development Producer will have the opportunity to produce various taster tapes.

The successful candidate will have thorough experience developing factual entertainment and entertainment programmes for the main UK broadcasters, and will have been influential in successful commissions.  They will also hold at least two years’ experience at producer level and be able to work independently and lead development projects.

Experience coming up with fresh ideas, both independently and in brainstorms, and writing a high volume of treatments is essential.  It is an advantage, but not essential, if they have relationships with Commissioning Editors and experience editing taster tapes.

A leading video content agency who work with some of the most influential brands in the world are looking for an Account Manager to join the team.  Reporting to the Account Director, the Account Manager is key to producing digital content around a brand’s best stories and ideas.

You will coordinate all aspects of a project internally, as well as handling clients of all levels within the brands the agency works for and the agencies they work alongside.  This role is primarily focused on a couple of key accounts, but you will also have the chance to work across other aspects of the business, and on one-off films for a host of other major brands.  The agency have a portfolio of work across a variety of sectors including property, luxury goods and financial.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Account Manager with client services experience and a passion for developing top level brand content for the digital environment.  The content the agency produce is primarily video, so an understanding of film production workflows would be advantageous.

SERIES DIRECTOR (PRIME-TIME CHANNEL 4 SERIES)

Location: London

Start Date: Mid / Late April 2018

Contract Length: 5 Months

A leading television production company are looking for a Series Director to work across a new 3 x 60’ factual series for prime-time Channel 4.  Prep and edits are in London and the week long shoot is in the US.

You will be directing a DOP on the shoots, and working alongside the Series Producer, you will be overseeing a team of 5 P/Ds, managing relationships with contributors and identifying and developing narratives both on location and in the edit.  You will be cutting the first film of the series.

This is an opportunity for somebody who has worked as a Series Director or Senior Producer/Director on prime-time documentary of factual entertainment singles or series for the BBC, ITV or Channel 4.  You must have a strong creative vision and be able to craft character-driven stories with warmth and sensitivity.

SERIES PRODUCER (PRIME-TIME CHANNEL 4 SERIES)

Location: London

Start Date: Monday 19th March 2018

Contract Length: 6+ Months

A leading television production company are looking for a Series Producer to work across a new 3 x 60’ factual series for prime-time Channel 4.  This is an opportunity for an established SP with credits on prime-time documentary or factual entertainment programmes for the BBC, ITV or Channel 4.

You will initially be managing the casting team and overseeing stories and contributors, alongside maintaining access and overseeing compliance and contributor welfare.  You will then go on to setup US shoot, alongside the Series Director oversee a team of Producer/Directors, manage shoots on location and edit produce one of the films.

You must have experience managing large teams, dealing with complicated access, overseeing compliance and looking after the whole production process from pre to post.  You must also be able to engage with young people and be comfortable dealing with those in sensitive situations.  Credits on programmes involving teenagers/children and US filming experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
